What, in general terms, are major turning points in the history of the LGBTQ community on campus?

Just recently there have been many major turning points for the LGBTQ community on campus. The creation of Crossroads, an important LLC that highlights gender and sexuality and encourages students to develop deeper understandings of it. Another big turning point is the recent creating of the Trans @ GU page. With the creation of this page, students who identify as trans can understand the ins and outs of navigating Georgetown with their identity. Additionally, the coverage and openness to celebrate OUTober and National Coming Out Day has allowed Georgetown’s campus to become more open and accepting of students that occupy these specific spaces and identities.
