Ryan Zuccala

Presidential Candidate

Final Score: 25.88% (F)

Awareness

On campus: 31%
Off campus: 54%

Dismal refusal to answer question and offer legitmate policy proposals; Failure to identify social dynamics that affect the daily lives of their (potential) LGBTQ+ constituency, which leads me to question their ability to advocate for LGBTQ+ students on campus (lack of funding is not a social dynamic). The community should not be reduced to its contribution to diversity on campus. Fails to specify issues that affect LGBTQ+ students on campus on the national level, shows almost willing lack of awareness, unsure if answers are even jokes

History of Advocacy

General: 13%
Intersectional: 25%

This candidate not only put minimal effort into answering these questions, but also displayed little to no experience advocating for any marginalized community, let alone the LGBTQ community.

Vision for the Future

38%

If you're a GUSA outsider, you need to show a willingness to learn about issues you don't know of.

Concreteness of Policy

4%

Did not answer the question at all..

What, in general terms, are major turning points in the history of the LGBTQ community on campus?

The establishment of GU Pride and other LGBTQ organizations including LGBTQ resource center.

John Dolan

Vice presidential Candidate

Final Score: 0% (F-)

Despite initially stating his intention to respond to participate in this project, Candidate Dolan ultimately did not answer to our requests to fill out the questions the other candidates did. This significantly hurt his campaign's combined final score.
